These microphones are designed to pick up sound from anywhere in the room, making them perfect for recording conversations in a wide area. The front of the microphone has slightly better sound pick-up, but this difference is barely noticeable to most listeners.

For the most accurate pick-up pattern, refer to the Directivity Diagram. Depending on the angle, the sound amplification may vary slightly, but within acceptable limits.

To achieve the best results when recording conversations, position the microphone towards the area covered by the CCTV camera. Different video surveillance systems have their own specifications for using external active microphones.

For IP cameras, follow these steps: 1. Connect the microphone's output signal to the camera's audio input, setting it to LINEIN in the camera settings. 2. Set the audio encoding to MP2L2. 3. Set the sampling frequency to the maximum. 4. Set the audio stream bitrate to the maximum. 5. Enable the noise filter.

The active microphone can be powered directly from the IP camera using the PoE loop.

If you are using an analog video recorder, connect the microphone's signal to the audio input of the recorder and enable AUDIO in the DVR settings.
